Imagine you never had your smart phone, or even worse, you have experienced a smart phone and now, you find yourself without it.
Lonely? As we are addicted to the screens we carry around, even in the company of Family, friends and at work, the hunched pose of the phone-absorbed seems increasingly normal.
US photographer Eric Pickersgill has created “Removed,” a series of photos to remind us of how strange that pose actually is. In each photo, mobile phones devices have been removed before the photo was taken, from people who’d been using them, so that people stare at their hands, or the empty space between their hands, resulting in ignoring all the company, surroundings or opportunities. Looks ridiculous, alarming.
